Thank you, I feel an entirely different person now and I’m most grateful.  The clinic has given me a new lease of life, and they have a completely different attitude, looking at the whole person which I’ve never experienced before.  The treatment has made a profound difference to my life and the clinic team’s ability to ‘switch hats’ is incredible – they’re friendly and professional.  I’ve been kept well informed throughout so I understand the implications, benefits, risks etc and they’re put in terms one can understand.  I can’t thank them enough.  

Turning to the Fibro Clinic for help was the best decision I have made in many years. The first consultation was arranged quickly. I had to fill in a form beforehand and the consultation itself focused on a thorough diagnostic process, at the end of which I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia.

I started taking Pregabalin about a week after the first consultation and increased the dose over a period of 8 weeks. The effect was enormous. Already during the first week, the whole-body ache reduced drastically and my movements improved. I now walk my dog without a stick; I can wait in queues; I can do household chores and some gardening. Pregabalin also stabilised my mood. Overall, I feel as well as in my twenties. I sleep well without major interruptions and wake after a good night’s sleep.  There were some temporary side effects such as drowsiness and lack of concentration, which started with every increase of the dose, but subsided within a week.

In addition to the treatment with Pregabalin, other painful ailments such as Plantar Fasciitis were dealt with swiftly and efficiently including cortisone-injections and physiotherapy.

Without pain, I am a new person.

The Fibro Clinic is one of the best organised clinics I have come across. The biggest advantage is their interdisciplinary approach: They work as a team focusing on the needs of a patient rather than concentrating on narrowly defined areas of specialisms. I cannot but sing the praise of these highly efficient, friendly, helpful and patient-centred health professionals.

I am writing this testimonial about the London Pain Clinic and my experience of the care, treatment and aftercare I received at the clinic.

From the first moment I arrived and met Dr Jenner, it was clear that he was surprised with the lack of aftercare treatment I’d received from my local hospital after a course of chemotherapy, and after reading my notes immediately suggested a course of treatment to relieve my pain.

We then proceeded to treatment – a lower back injection – at a private hospital in St. John’s Wood, and almost immediately I felt a huge relief, like a new person.  My pain had reduced by 80% and I felt so much better and could do so much more!  Afterwards, the doctor prescribed me some tablets to further improve my condition and put me on a course of physiotherapy with Maxine. 

I feel so much better.

I would highly recommend the London Pain Clinic to anyone who has been frustrated and in pain for a long time as my situation was virtually cured overnight, and with the proper aftercare and monitoring from the staff I have made great progress.

I attended the London Pain Clinic because I wanted a coordinated multidisciplinary approach with professionals well versed in chronic pain. I have benefited not only from medical management, but also coping strategies, manual therapy, and physiotherapy input.

I feel like I was really well listened to, I feel my treatment was appropriate and as comfortable as possible. As always Dr Singh is a real asset to the team. The same goes for everyone working in the office.

The hospital was absolutely outstanding and I had a really positive experience when I was there yesterday. All of the facilities were beautiful and clean. My room was quiet and comfortable. The HCA and the nurse were both so caring and kind.

The theatre team were superb and really put my mind at ease. The anaesthetic nurse got into my vein the very first time (this has never happened before) I was showered in affection and got to join in with jokes in what was a terribly stressful time for me and my husband.

I truly hope I won’t need any more procedures and that I’ll be comfortable now for a while. If it’s not the case I know I am able to go and get rapid and compassionate treatment from The London Pain Clinic and that is most of the stress of being in pain sorted.

This procedure has shown me my lust for life again. It’s guided my husband and me back to the path of adventure we used to take before I was ill.
